Counseling is usually a one to one talking therapy, where people have the opportunity to improve their mood, feel better and think better. This can be for anyone that would like to understand themselves, prevent mental health problems or treat any experiences.

Clients would often attend a counsellor for a series of sessions depending on their situation and this can be discussed with the counsellor prior to making ythe first appointment or during the first session.

The National Institute for Clinical Excellence (N.I.C.E.) recommends Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), as a treatment for Anxiety, Depression, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Phobias, Acute Stress and Post Traumatic Stress.
